Adiantum pedatum

Maidenhair fern is graceful and delicate in appearance. It has a lacy, soft, green leaf with dark centers. Fronds are arranged in a half circle like streams of hair from around a lady's head. Grows fast and gets to be about 12 to 18 inches tall. Tolerent to alkaline soils.

Vase shaped plants that grow 2-5’ tall. Foliage is a blue-green in summer. Fertile fronds are a contrasting cinnamon brown. This fern is highly adaptable to both tropics and temperate regions. Prefers acidic humus rich soil and even moisture.
Osmunda claytonia
Looks similar to Cinnamon Fern, but suited for dryer conditions. The ephemeral fertile pinnae occur halfway up the frond and create an interruption when they fall off in mid summer, hence the name Interrupted Fern. The fronds emerge in a spreading vase form to 5' tall.
