'Heavy Metal' is a switch grass cultivar with metallic-blue foliage and a columnar form. Clump-forming grass which grows in an upright position to 3' tall or to 5' when in flower. Features metallic-blue leaves which turn yellow in autumn, fading to tan in winter. Panicles turn straw-yellow as the seeds mature fading to beige in winter.

Features medium green leaves which turn yellow in autumn.
