Salad burnet is a perennial herb that is native to Europe and the Mediterranean. It is easily grown in average, medium wet, well-drained soils in full sun. Grows 12" tall and 24" wide. Tiny greenish flowers with purple-tinged styles appear in midsummer. Grown in herb gardens for its tasty leaves. Leaves are used fresh off the plant in salads, soups, vinegars or cold drinks.
